About Rabbi Tuling
Rabbi Doctor Kari Tuling is the spiritual leader of Temple Beth Israel. You can read her sermons here.
Ordained by the Hebrew Union College in 2004, Rabbi Tuling led congregations in Ohio and Indiana before joining us in July 2012. She received her PhD from Hebrew Union College in June 2013, and is currently working on publishing her dissertation, “Between Maimonides and Kant: Hermann Cohen’s Religion of Reason.” Her chapter, “Women Rabbis and Theology,” will be published in a forthcoming volume from the CCAR press celebrating 40 years of women in the rabbinate.
In addition to serving the community of TBI, Rabbi Tuling teaches a course each semester at SUNY Plattsburgh, thanks to a congregational endowment.
